The Lidi di Comacchio were born when Italians began to go on vacation and since that moment they have grown together with the change of tastes of their guests.

The Lidos have always been a place where inhabitants of the whole Ferrara area were used to spend their summery Sundays; in the 1960s, they decided to spend the summer months there, which implied moving their first and second houses to the Lidos too.

In the following decades there was a gradually increasing number of German and Dutch tourists, who stimulated the beaches to become more and more "active", with the first sporting facilities and good quality lively restaurants.

Today the Lidi Comacchiesi meet the new challenges of the tourist market by offering many types of holidays in the same place: accommodation such as a camping village, village hotel, apartments suitable for groups, families, children and elderly.
