The Associazione Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori - Association for the Route of Wine and Tastes - recently founded by the Provincial Administration of Ferrara, promotes a series of wine-tasting and gastronomic itineraries based on local produce.
Farms, vineyards, farmhouses with accommodations, restaurants, inns, wine bars, artisan shops, as well as small enterprises specialised in the production of local typical products work together to promote the agricultural and food richness of the territory. From the DOC wine of the Bosco Eliceo to the typical bread, to salama da sugo, pampepato, cappellacci di zucca, marinated eel, garlic salami, rice, the routes of wine and tastes put together typical wine and tastes with monuments, historical places and environmental sites. The itineraries take three directions: along the Adriatic Coast, through Po Delta Park, and along the Po River, through the countryside hosting the Delizie of the Estes. |
