Leaving Comacchio in the direction of Ostellato turn left (in a South Easterly direction) towards Valle Lepri.
After passing the water scoop continue on the Zavalea road until you reach the Argine Agosto, the Agosto Bank, that runs alongside the wetlands. Before arriving at Anita turn left towards the Oasis of Boscoforte. Here it is possible to continue by foot or by bicycle on the Reno riverbank.
The circuit that takes you around the southern tract of the Comacchio wetlands begins at the Azienda Prato pozzi near to Anita.
Travelling towards the Reno river mouth, along the bank, you reach the recently appointed “Volta Scirocco” Oasis. The countryside here is full of interesting naturalistic areas.

Eels and their habitat
By foot or aboard a boat you can enter into the habitat of the eel. Here Nature, the environment and History are intertwined by the fishing tradition. These traditions can be seen in the Wetland fishing houses or “ Casoni di Valle”, used for fishing or for guarding the area. The houses of Pegoraro, Serilla and Coccalino provide a good cross section of life in the lagoon, supplying examples of the instruments and furnishings used by the men who worked in the wetlands. At the Foce station there is an information centre with photographic and audiovisual illustrations of the naturalistic features of this area.
