The proud Este Castle at Mesola and the important fishing harbour of Goro mark the north-eastern border of the territory of the Province of Ferrara. This is also the beginning of the large protected area now designated The Regional Park of the Po Delta, which is one of the European Community's reference points for studying both the delicate balance between humans and the environment, and environmentally-friendly economic policies. |
